Connected Apps: LinkedIn Follow

Overview

The Convertr integration with LinkedIn Lead Generation forms allows you to connect campaigns and sync leads captured on LinkedIn into your Convertr platform. 

We can connect to Sponsored Accounts, Organisations and Company Event, and Product leads.

 

Connecting Your LinkedIn User Account To Convertr

Prerequisites

  1. LinkedIn ads account in LinkedIn Campaign
  2. One of the following user types on the LinkedIn Company Page
    • Page Administrator
    • Lead Gen Forms Manager
  3. One of the following user types in LinkedIn Campaign Manager
    • Account Manager
    • Campaign Manager
  4. Media budget and a live ad campaign

Configuration

  1. Within your platform, navigate to Connected Apps > LinkedIn in the left sidebar.

  2. Click Add Connection

  3. Sign in with your LinkedIn credentials to connect your account to your Convertr platform.

  4. The Accounts table will show your newly added account, including the account API Token, the date the token was created, the last date it was updated and the date it is due to expire. To continue, click View to go to your account.

  5. You are now ready to create a connection to an existing LinkedIn campaign.

Connecting to LinkedIn Form

Prerequisites

  1. Create your form in LinkedIn
  2. Create your campaign in Convertr
  3. Create a form within your Convertr campaign
  4. Assign a publisher to your Convertr campaign for clear lead attribution

Configuration

  1. Within the platform, navigate to Connected Apps in the left sidebar, and click Add Connection to begin the connection setup process

  2. Complete all fields to setup your connection.
    • Account Type: The type of the account you would like to connect to—Sponsored or Organisation
    • Sponsored Account / Organisation: The account you would like to connect within LinkedIn
    • LinkedIn Form: The form you are using on LinkedIn to capture the lead data
    • Lead Type: Type of the lead—Event, Company, or Product. Only visible if organisation account type is selected, otherwise, defaults to Sponsored.
    • Campaign: The associated campaign within Convertr
    • Publisher: The associated publisher that leads will be attributed to within the Convertr campaign
    • Form: The form you are using within your connected Convertr campaign
    • Link ID: The link you are using within your connected Convertr campaign
      Please note: If you choose Organisation account type, ensure that the selected form matches the selected lead type. Otherwise, no leads will come through the connection.

      Users can select Product, Events or Company.

  3. Click Save to connect your LinkedIn campaign to a Convertr campaign

    As you can see in the lead type column this states what type of leads the connection is collecting



  4. Test the integration by submitting a test lead before going live.

    Within the LinkedIn campaign ad management screen, select the '...' button on the right, then select to 'preview' the ad. Within the preview module, submit a test lead and you should see the submitted information within the Convertr platform shortly.

    mceclip9.pngPlease note: If you need to do multiple tests, you will need to delete the original test lead, flag it as a 'test' lead or use a different email address.

    For Product Events or Company Leads, you will need to submit via the LinkedIn company page.

LinkedIn Field Names

When leads are imported into the platform, the following fields are imported within the lead as standard. Others may be added based on your LinkedIn form:

Pulling Leads from LinkedIn into Convertr Platform

Leads are automatically pulled for your connected forms a few times every hour.

NB: If a lead was created in LinkedIn more than 12 hours before your connection was created, these leads will not pull through. This is to avoid retrieving cold leads from LinkedIn.
