Overview
The Marketo connected app gives Convertr an automated solution to pull leads into the Convertr Enterprise.
Prerequisites
Client ID
In Marketo, within the Admin section, go to Integration > LaunchPoint and select View Details on your Convertr Custom Service. If you don’t have the required access to perform those tasks, please contact an/your internal Marketo administrator.
Client Secret
In Marketo, within the Admin section, go to Integration > LaunchPoint and select View Details on your Convertr Custom Service. If you don’t have the required access to perform those tasks, please contact an/your internal Marketo administrator.
Identity URL
In Marketo, within the Admin section go to Web Services. You will find the identityUrl in the section Rest API. If you don’t have the required access to perform those tasks, please contact an/your internal Marketo administrator.
Static List ID
In Marketin, navigate to the list. The list id will be in the URL of the static list, e.g. https://app-****.marketo.com/#ST1001A1. In this example, 1001 is the id for the list.
Complete Convertr Campaign
A fully setup campaign containing a form, link and publisher. For guidance on how to setup a campaign end-to-end, click here.
Setup
1. Navigate to Connected Apps > 'Marketo' in the sidebar.
2. Click 'Add' to add a begin creating a Marketo account.
3. Input the Identity URL, Client ID and Client Secret and then save.
4. Once the account has been added, click 'View'.
5. Complete the connection detail requirements:
- Name: Name of the connection
- Campaign: Select the campaign you would like to associate the connection to.
- Static List ID: Enter the Static List ID
- Smart List ID: Optionally provide a Smart List ID
- Form: Select the Convertr form you would like to associate to the connection.
- Link: Select the link you would like to append to the connection (optional)
- Publisher: Select the publisher you would like to assign to the connection.
6. Populate the form details. The left column should match the Marketo Rest field names. The right column should match the internal Convertr form and save one completed.
Once saved, your connected will be listed under 'Marketo Connections'.
7. Test your configuration by adding a 'Person' in Marketo to trigger the lead creation in Convertr. There are specific times where leads will be retrieved:
- The Convertr application will attempt to pull leads every 10 minutes between the hours of 00:00 to 07:00 (UTC)
- The Convertr application will not pull leads between the hours of 07:01 to 10:00 (UTC)
- The Convertr application will attempt to pull leads every hour between the hours of 10:01 to 23:59 (UTC)
