Introduction
Updating a lead status or 'flagging a lead' is the process of marking a lead as another status in order to manage that lead. The different statuses are below:
- Mark as valid
- Mark as invalid
- Mark as Test
- Mark as Undelivered
- Mark as Delivered
- Reprocess Leads
- Delete Leads
The following document will describe these in more detail. We will be using the global Leads tab in our examples, but the same process can be followed within a campaign as well.
Setup Process
1. Select the Leads tab from the global sidebar.
2. Select the lead or leads that you want to validate using the tick box feature. This allows you to select multiple leads.
3. Click Flag/Manage and a modal will open, displaying all the lead IDs. You can also type out the lead IDs here, or paste the lead IDs from a report.
4. Click Next and select one of the following options. Once selected, the modal will progress to the next step.
4.a. If Mark As Valid is selected, you will have the option to select your reason, as well as route the leads through any integrations. Please note - the leads will not integrate unless the tickbox under Integrations is selected.
4.b. If Mark As Invalid is selected, you will have the option to select your invalid reason, before clicking Next. Your lead will become invalid in the platform.
4.c. If Mark As Test is selected, you will be able to flag the lead as a test, or select one of the other options. Your lead will then have the status of Test in the platform.
4.d. If Mark As Undelivered is selected, you will need to tick the consent box before you can click Save. Your leads will then have the Delivery status of Not Delivered.
Please note: Mark As Undelivered does not remove the lead from the CRM that the lead has been delivered to. This would need to be updated on the client's side.
4.e. If Mark As Delivered is selected, you will need to tick the consent box before you can click Save. Your leads will then have the Delivery status of 0/0, to indicate that these leads have not been sent through any integrations.
4.f. If Reprocess Leads is selected, you will need to tick the consent box before you can click Save. Your leads will then be reprocessed in the background.
4.g. If Delete Leads is selected, you will need to tick the consent box before you can click Save. Your leads will then be deleted.
Please note: If leads are deleted, they cannot be restored in the platform.
