Introduction:
When assigning publishers to your campaigns, you have the option to accept additional leads into the campaign that go over what the publisher has been allocated. This can be due to a variety of reasons; you may want to ensure you have extra data if your client rejects any leads, or you may just want to send extra leads as a sign of goodwill. The platform is able to cater for this through the use of different campaign and platform configurations, which can be combined to suit your requirements.
Overdelivery Functionality
- Publisher Lead Import Authorisation: This functionality is set at a platform level and allows you to set up a rule where a publisher is unable to overdeliver into a campaign without email approval from you. You can configure how much they can overdeliver before the authorisation is triggered.
- Hold Publisher Over Delivery: This functionality is set at a campaign level and allows you to configure what should happen if a publisher does overdeliver, and whether or not the lead should go through to the configured integration.
Through combining these functionalities, it is possible for example to allow leads to flow endlessly into a campaign, while ensuring only those that are within the publisher's lead cap are delivered, and any extra leads are held.
