Telephone Verification - Global Follow

Overview

The Telephone Verification - Global job verifies a lead's telephone number within a third-party database to ensure the accuracy of global telephone numbers. We recommend that numbers are uploaded in the format of (+44)07123456789, with the country code in brackets, to ensure that the telephone number can be verified.

  1. API Username: Leave blank for most cases. Only fill it if you'd like to use your own license with the telephone number provider.
  2. Country: Select the default country to fall back on if a lead is missing country information.
  3. Match Country: Set to 'True' if you'd like to add an extra check that the country field on the lead matches the country that was detected by the 3rd party provider.

Advanced configuration:

Please note: These two options were introduced to cover some of the edge cases. Leave both as 'False' for most cases. We don't recommend customers change these options unless specifically advised by our support team.

  • Validate Telephone Format: If set to 'True', this will additionally validate the telephone format for the country field on the lead.
  • Match Telephone Format Country: If set to 'True', this will ensure that the phone code of the country that was detected by the phone verification provider matches the phone number of the lead.

3. Adjust mapping if needed

  • Telephone Input Mapping Field: This mapping displays which form field the job is being associated with. This will auto-populate from your form - if this is not correct or blank, please use the dropdown to update this.
  • Composite Input Selector:  This is a secondary field that is used to reference an additional input field that the job can look at. It is not mandatory, and if populated the job will look at this field rather than the Telephone Input Mapping Field.
  • Country Input Mapping Field: This will auto-populate from your form. If this is not correct or blank please use the dropdown to update this.
