What is Convertr Govern?
Govern is a module within the Convertr platform. It applies your account's approved rules to every lead and contact record automatically, before it reaches your CRM, marketing automation, or AI workflows — across every campaign, source, supplier, and market, not just the ones you've configured individually.
What is a policy?
A policy is the set of rules your account requires a lead or contact record to meet before your business acts on it — for example, that a required consent field must be present, or that a record must come from an approved source. You set the policy once, based on what your business requires. Govern applies it automatically to every record, across every campaign, supplier, and market, so you're not deciding the rule again each time.
How is this different from the campaign rules I already use?
Your campaign-level controls still work exactly as they do today. Govern sits above them. Instead of setting rules separately for each campaign, you set them once at the account level, and they apply everywhere automatically. Nothing about your existing campaign setup is replaced.
What happens if a record doesn't meet the rule?
It's held. It doesn't move through because one campaign happened to be configured loosely. A named approver has to review it and record a reason before it proceeds.
Who can approve an exception?
Whoever your account designates. Approvals are always tied to a named person and a recorded reason — there's no way for a record to pass through an exception silently.
Does this apply to every supplier automatically, or do I need to set it up per supplier?
Once your account policy is set, it applies to every supplier, campaign, and market by default. You don't rebuild it each time a new supplier or campaign is added.
Will this slow down how quickly leads reach my CRM?
No — the check happens automatically as part of the existing intake process. Only records that fall outside your policy are held for review; everything else proceeds as normal.
A client or a supplier is disputing a lead. How do I show what happened?
You can generate the record's proof on demand: where it came from, which supplier delivered it, which campaign it belonged to, which policy applied, what ran, what failed or passed, who approved any exception, and where the record went. This is called the Evidence Pack.
Does Govern make my data compliant?
No. Govern applies the rules you've approved and proves that they ran. It doesn't determine what's lawful, replace your legal or privacy review, or guarantee compliance on its own. It shows that your rule was applied to a given record, consistently, with evidence to back it up.
Can I change my account policy later?
Yes. Note that editing a policy doesn't automatically re-check records that were already processed under the previous version — it applies going forward.
Does this require a new setup or contract?
No. Govern is part of the platform you already use — this is additional capability inside it, not a separate product.
Which users can use Govern?
For this release, Admins will be able to use Govern features only.
