How to Access Forms
Within the left navigation bar, select the 'Forms' page.
Creating a New Form
On the 'Active Forms' tab and click the 'Add' button.
Within the 'Setup' tab, complete the 'Form Name'. The 'Slug' is the form URL (e.g. https://enterprise-name.cvtr-dev.io/forms/this-is-the-form-slug). It will automatically populate when complete the 'Form Name', however it can updated as required.
If you are embedding your form into a Convertr Hosted landing page or Template landing page, set the embed type to 'iframe'. Otherwise, leave the embed type as 'Javascript'.
Enable 'Auto iframe resizing' if required (only applicable for the 'iframe' embed type).
Select the 'Fields' tab to setup for form field requirements. To add a field to your form select Add Input and populate the following fields as required:
- Type - This defines the type of input and contains various lookups and HTML types. The standard type is Text (Required) other types can be found here.
- Name - Enter the name of your field (Required)
- Enable - If you would like the field to be active, select Enable (Required)
- Required - If a field is required on a form, ensure Required is selected (Optional)
- Required Message - If your field is required, enter a required message (Optional)
- Label - Enter a caption for your field type which will show above your input field by default (Required)
- Placeholder - Specifies a short hint to describe the expected value of an input field (Optional)
- CSS Class - Add a custom CSS Class Name on the field HTML container (Optional)
Use the 'Move' button to rearrange your fields in the order required.
Remove any fields with the 'Delete' button.
The 'Thanks page' of the form can be configured if it is required to display any content once the form has been completed. For a step-by-step guide on how to set up this section, click here.
To customise the visual styles of your form, use the 'CSS' tab. 'CSS' is used to describe the rules of how how HTML elements are to be displayed within browsers.
If the form requires specific actions and behaviour, use the 'Javascript' tab.
Regularly 'Save' your form.
Form Preview
When creating or editing a form, the 'Preview' panel will visually display your form. This can be helpful when changing the visual styling of your form via the 'CSS' tab. In other scenarios where the form is being used to import leads via CSV, API or the Webhook, the 'Preview' can be helpful to easily see your form fields.
Creating a Form Via CSV File
Importing a form via CSV allows you to easily and quickly import a large number of fields at one time. Within the left navigation bar, select the 'Forms' page.
On the 'Active Forms' tab and click the 'Add via CSV' button.
Download and populate the CSV template from the blue banner.
Upload your completed CSV file.
Complete the 'Form Name' and 'Slug'.
Click 'Save'.
Fields specified within the CSV file will be created as 'Text' type fields. Field types can be changed as required once the CSV file is uploaded.
Associate a Form to a Campaign
Once your form has been created, it needs to be associated to a campaign. On the 'Forms' page, select the 'X Campaigns' link next to your form under the 'Associated Campaigns' column.
If you are associating a new form, this column will show '0 Campaigns'.
If associating a previously created form with existing associations, it will show as 'X Campaigns', based on the number of campaigns that that form is currently associated with.
When clicking on this link, search and select the campaign(s) from the dropdown list that you want to associate to make the form available to the required campaign(s). You can add multiple campaigns to a form at once.
Click 'Save' once your desired campaign associations are chosen.
Disassociate a Form from a Campaign
On the 'Forms' page, select the 'X Campaigns' link next to your form under the 'Associated Campaigns' column.
Click the 'Remove' button next to the campaign you want to remove the connection from.
Click the 'Save' button.
Archiving and Deleting a Form
Please note: Forms can be archived whilst it still has associated campaigns. To delete a form, all connections (Campaigns, Landing Pages, Assets) must be removed first.
On the 'Forms' page, select the form(s) that are to be Archived.
Click the 'Archive' button.
Confirm your action.
The form will now be within the 'Archived' tab. Forms can be unarchived by selecting the form and clicking the 'Activate' button.Select a form within the 'Archived' form tab and click the 'Delete' button to completely remove it.
Please note: This will delete the form completely and is irreversible.
Translating a Form
To create a version of a form with a different language, click 'Edit' beside a form and then click 'Translate'.
Add the name of the new translated version of your form, and select the language from the dropdown within the modal.
Manage Forms within a Campaign
Within your campaign, you can easily manage forms rather than having to navigate to the forms listing in the sidebar.
Associating Forms within a Campaign
Within your campaign, go to Creatives > Forms.
To associate a form to this campaign. click the 'Associate' button.
Search and select the form to link to this campaign.
Click 'Save'.
Editing Forms within a Campaign
Within the campaign, go to Creatives > Forms
Click the 'Edit' button to make changes to an associated form. This action will take you to the form builder and any changes made will be applied to the form and therefore apply to any campaigns the form is associated with..
Removing Forms Within a Campaign
Within a campaign, go to Creatives > Forms.
Click the 'Remove' button to remove the association between the form and the current campaign.
Please note: This action will not delete the form. Any other campaigns that have been associated to the selected form will not be effected.
