Overview
ZoomInfo provides detailed contact data such as email, phone number, job title, company size, industry, and more.
You can use it to enrich your leads — filling in missing details or appending extra information based on their email address. This helps improve lead quality, scoring, routing, and personalisation in your sales and marketing.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to set up automated ZoomInfo contact enrichment in your Convertr campaign.
Please note: This feature uses a bring-your-own-license model. You’ll need to provide your ZoomInfo access details to use it.
Adding ZoomInfo Contact Enrichment Job
To add the ZoomInfo Contact Enrichment job to your campaign:
- Go to Processr > Enrichment tab of your campaign.
- Click Add.
- From the dropdown, select ZoomInfo - Contact Enrichment.
- Complete the configuration sections as shown below and click Save.
Configuring ZoomInfo Contact Enrichment Job
Generating Client ID and Client Secret
To connect Convertr to ZoomInfo, you'll need a Client ID and Client Secret.
- In the ZoomInfo Admin Portal, register an OAuth application for the Data API.
- Copy the Client ID and Client Secret issued for the application.
See ZoomInfo Client Credentials Flow documentation for more details.
API Section
In API section, choose one of the options in Credential Source dropdown described below.
Credential Manager (Recommended)
Credential Manager is the more secure option: it keeps credentials separate from campaign configuration, so they're visible only to your Admin users. It also removes the need to set up credentials for each campaign separately, or to update them across every campaign when they change. Read more about Credential Manager in this article.
To configure Credential Manager credentials for ZoomInfo Contact Enrichment:
- In the Convertr dashboard, go to Enterprise > Credential Manager.
- Click Add.
- Enter a name of your choice in the Name field — for example, "ZoomInfo Credentials".
- In the Type dropdown, choose Processr Job.
- In the Entity dropdown, choose ZoomInfo - Contact Enrichment.
- Fill the Client ID and Client Secret fields with the values issued for your ZoomInfo application.
To use these credentials in your ZoomInfo Contact Enrichment job:
- In the Credential Source dropdown of the API section, select Credential Manager.
- In the Manager Credentials field, choose the credentials you created in the previous step — for example, "ZoomInfo Credentials".
Providing Credentials Manually (Not Recommended)
Please note: We don't recommend this option. It's less secure and harder to manage across campaigns and campaign templates.
You can provide your ZoomInfo Client ID and Client Secret for each campaign manually. This exposes your ZoomInfo credentials to anyone on your team with access to the campaign's Processr Jobs configuration, and if the credentials change you'll need to update them manually in every active campaign and campaign template.
To configure credentials manually:
- In the Credential Source dropdown of the API section, select Manual.
- Fill the Client ID and Client Secret fields with the values generated for your ZoomInfo application.
Fields
In this section, you can configure how ZoomInfo fields map to your Convertr lead fields.
By default, all available ZoomInfo fields are pre-selected with suggested Convertr lead fields that suit most common campaign setups. You can adjust this list to better fit your needs:
- Remove the fields that you don't need. You can re-add them later with the Add button.
- On the right side, adjust the lead field names:
- Select an existing lead field from the list. The field will only be populated if it was empty in the submitted lead.
- Type a new lead field name. This will be added to the lead once enriched.
Please note: When typing a new field name, the dropdown may show “No results found.” This is expected. After you finish typing, click outside the field — the name you entered will be saved as the new lead field. After lead is processed, this new lead field will be appended to the lead.
Filling Gaps
Use ZoomInfo Contact Enrichment to convert incomplete leads from live events or email-only forms into fully actionable contacts.
In this case, map ZoomInfo fields to your existing lead fields. Values from ZoomInfo will only be applied if the original lead didn’t have them.
Example: Filling in job titles
- Map the Job Title field to your lead’s title field.
- If the original lead included a title, that value will be preserved.
- If no title was supplied, the ZoomInfo value will be added automatically.
Adding New Data
Use ZoomInfo Contact Enrichment to add extra information that wasn’t present in the original lead.
In this case, type in new lead field names and map them to ZoomInfo fields. These fields will always be populated with values from ZoomInfo.
Example: Adding primary industry
- Map ZoomInfo’s Primary Industry 1 field to a new lead field, e.g. industry.
- The first value from the list of primary industries provided by ZoomInfo will be added to the lead as a new industry field.
Testing the Setup
To verify your configuration:
- Submit a test lead to your campaign.
- Open the Leads tab of your campaign.
- Click View to open the lead details.
- Confirm that the lead has been updated with information from ZoomInfo. Example:
