Introduction
The Global Telephone Test verifies a lead's telephone number within a third-party database to ensure the accuracy of global telephone numbers. We recommend that numbers are uploaded in the format of (+44)07123456789, with the country code in brackets, to ensure that the telephone number can be verified.
Configuration
1. Within the Processr tab, select Configure beside the Global Telephone Test.
2. The defaults on the Settings tab can be left unchanged. These are the default settings that will be used by the job if a country value is not provided by the lead.
3. Navigate to the Mappings tab and map your fields. This allows the job to reference the correct field when verifying telephone numbers. The telephone field is mandatory, but the country field is optional.
NB: This country field is unrelated to the match_country setting on the previous tab.
The Global Telephone Test job will use the telephone and country fields to determine the validity of the number. If the country field is not populated, and the telephone number does not contain a country code (such as +44), the job will then use the match_country setting of GB to help determine the validity.
4. An example of an error message can be seen below. The error message of 'Invalid API Response' will either be due to the job being mapped incorrectly, or the lead lacking a telephone number.
If the number is invalid, or cannot be found by the Global Telephone Test, the below error message will display:
